I was born in Lebanon but left at the age of six to move to London.
My love for writing and travelling from a very early age made me what I am today: a journalist.
I travelled widely to Asia, Europe, Middle East and the Americas. After graduating from the School of Journalism at City University in London with a Masters in International Journalism, I began my professional life as a newswriter for AFP, UPI and later joined BBC News. I also worked for 5 years as a television producer for MBC TV (Middle East Broadcast) .
In 2000, I decided to move to New York and embark on a whole new project: produce documentaries about the Middle East. But I got sidetracked for a few years: marriage and two gorgeous children.
In 2005, I took up freelancing ,reporting and writing for various media outlets. I also set up my own blog 'Ms Levantine' a social and political journal about the Middle East.
